General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

The swollen and itchy ankle after going out in the garden at night is an allergy reaction to any insect that might have bitten you. Most probably the area might have got infected.

As the swelling is progressing, I highly recommend to go to ER for a more specific evaluation and treatment.

For the moment, I advise to apply cold compressess locally and hydrocortisone cream.

Wish fast recovery.
